According to Seoul’s Seongdong Police Station, Song was found deceased at his residence in Seongdong District around 12:30 p.m. on the 12th. Police stated, "No evidence of foul play has been found at this time," adding that a note was discovered at the scene.
A friend who had planned to have lunch with Song visited his home and discovered him, subsequently notifying the authorities.
